Consumer Directed Services allows people with disabilities to hire personal care attendant (PCA) services to help them live independently. Our service is consumer-controlled. The patient is the one responsible for hiring, setting work schedules, and managing personal care attendants. The CDS program is regulated by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) and will also assess people who want to be eligible for the CDS program.
Participants may qualify for these services:
- Bathing
- Dressing
- Grooming
- Toileting
- Personal Hygiene
- Medication reminder
- Transfers
- Range of motion
- Meal preparation/feeding/cleanup
- Housekeeping/laundry
- Errand transportation (shopping, paying bills/banking, picking up medication)
